Ozersk City Museum
About museum
Founded in 2007, the Municipal Institution of the Ozersk Urban District “City Museum” was without its own premises for a long time. In 2018 the museum moved into a former pharmacy at: Ozersk, Pobedy Avenue, 2, with a total area of 222.1 sq. m. The building is of regional significance and contains two visitor halls. Hall No. 1 is intended for a future local history exhibition, and Hall No. 2 is for temporary exhibitions and various events. As of April 1, 2020, the museum's collection comprises 2,559 storage units, including items of the main collection, research and auxiliary items, objects of applied art, everyday life and ethnography, archaeology, documents, a mineralogical collection, and others. The museum's young and small team actively works in various areas: exhibiting displays, replenishing the collections, studying items and collections, and promoting cultural and historical heritage.
