Scientific and Exhibition Complex 'Na Moskovskaya'
About museum
Scientific and Exhibition Complex 'Na Moskovskaya' is located in a building that in the 1860s was part of a large urban estate owned by the wife of Collegiate Councilor E. D. Zimninskaya. Over its one-and-a-half-century history, the two-storey 'half-brick' building has repeatedly changed owners and purpose. It currently houses the architect and the research department of the Museum-Reserve 'Homeland of V. I. Lenin', its research library, and two exhibition halls. The complex has gathered valuable information about the architectural and memorial sites of the historic part of Simbirsk-Ulyanovsk, as well as about the people associated with them. One of the priority tasks is to make this information available to as wide a circle as possible of the Museum-Reserve's staff, researchers and enthusiasts of Simbirsk-Ulyanovsk history. The complex plans to hold scientific conferences, lectures and meetings dedicated to the region's rich historical and cultural heritage.
