Museum house "First Cottage" in Peredelkin
About museum
The museum house is dedicated to the history of the writer's village of Peredelkino, its inhabitants and the literary history of the 20th century. The exhibitions are built around archival documents, memoirs and conversations of writers. The museum is sometimes referred to as the "museum of conversations."
It is located in the historic cottage No. 1, one of the first houses of the writers' village, built in the 1930s. Over the years, Bruno Yasensky, Rasul Gamzatov, Vasily Aksenov, Yuri Olesha, Semyon Lipkin, Inna Lisnyanskaya lived in it.
The building was renovated before opening. We managed to preserve the main museum object — the walls of the house, which became the basis of the exhibition. With the help of sound theater, multimedia and artistic integrations, they "come to life" and tell about the literary history of Peredelkin.
Each exhibition has a central character — one of the residents of Peredelkin. A story about the literature of the 20th century, writers, their works and epoch is built around it. For example, the first exhibition was dedicated to Viktor Shklovsky.
