Museum and Local History Center 'Korobov Chambers'
About museum
The Korobov Chambers are a monument of 17th-century civil architecture, notable for their unique decoration and the combination of the Russian style and Moscow's 'Naryshkin Baroque'. The chambers were built in the form of wooden halls 'in two log cabins' on a cellar, with anterooms (seni) and a porch. The history of the Chambers dates back to 1697, when the document 'Separation record of the children and grandchildren of Kirill Ivanovich Korobov' was signed. To this day the Korobov Chambers attract attention with their enchanting appearance. For a considerable time they were even mistakenly called the 'House of Marina Mniszech'. The museum regularly holds exhibitions and various children's activities on themes such as 'The Russian Izba', 'Tale after Tale', 'A Little Easter Miracle' and others.
