About museum

The V. G. Rasputin Museum is located in the center of Irkutsk and is a one-story wooden mansion built at the end of the 19th century. The writer's memorial collection consists of his personal belongings, household items, furniture, awards, photographs, documents, manuscripts and books. V. G. Rasputin's son and his second wife, O. V. Loseva, donated even more unique exhibits to the museum. The museum's first exhibition was opened on March 15, 2017, on the author's birthday. Here visitors can take part in an interactive program and learn about the life and work of the writer.
