Toptygin House Museum
About museum
The Toptygin House Museum opened in 2008 and is dedicated to the brown bear, a native inhabitant of the Poshekhonsky forests. Here you can see a bear's den and hunting platforms, as well as taxidermy animals. The museum displays various bear-related exhibits: books, toys, souvenirs, and many plush bears. Interactive play programs, workshops, and craft exhibitions and competitions are held here. Visitors can taste fragrant honey, raspberry jam, and dried mushrooms from the Poshekhonsky forests. The museum is especially appealing to children, who can feel like real adventure-seekers here.
