Museum of Agriculture and Everyday Life of Siberian Households
About museum
Since 1995, at the initiative of Associate Professor of the Department of Agricultural Machinery I. D. Kobyakov, the Museum of Agriculture and Everyday Life of Siberian Households was established in Omsk. The core of its collections consists of items of peasant household life brought by students from villages in the Omsk Region, as well as items collected by I. D. Kobyakov from residents of the private housing sector (former villagers). In addition, donors to the museum included students N. Shagaeva, O. Zhukova, M. Yarovaya, Yu. Naydenov, the commandant of the first academic building P. V. Ivanova and many others. At the moment the museum's exhibition has not been arranged, but it is planned to include not only household items but also models of various tools, implements and devices (machines for processing hides and flax, vehicles, icehouses, smokehouses, etc.). Currently the museum's collection comprises about 100 items.
