In 2008 the Museum of World Calligraphy was established, becoming a symbol of preserving and developing the art of beautiful writing for future generations. Its collection contains over 4,000 works by 460 masters from 65 countries around the world. The permanent exhibition features calligraphic works of different peoples, states, and religions. The museum regularly hosts guided tours, master classes, concerts, and exhibitions. It is also home to the National School of the Art of Beautiful Writing, which offers calligraphy classes for children and adults. The Museum of World Calligraphy is the only place in Russia where you can see examples of writing from around the world.
