About museum
The Komsomolsk-on-Amur Museum of Fine Arts opened to visitors on January 25, 1966. Currently the museum's collection consists of more than 16,000 exhibits. It presents post-revolutionary art as well as a unique collection of Russian and foreign industrial graphics covering the period from the 1870s to the 1960s. Special attention is paid to the rich collection of traditional art of the indigenous peoples of the Amur region: Nanai, Ulchi, Udege, Negidals, Nivkh, Evens, and Evenks. The museum also displays foreign art, including works by artists from China, Korea, Japan, the USA, and other countries. All this makes the museum an interesting and unique place to visit.
