Tetyushi Regional History Museum
About museum
The Tetyushi Regional History Museum is the oldest museum in the Republic of Tatarstan, having written its history over many centuries. It houses more than 46,000 items, which is four times the number of the town's inhabitants. Housed in the two-story merchant mansion of the Serebryakov family, the museum has a unique collection, including a hoard of family table silver. The museum has three branches: the rural noble estate of the Molostvov family, the I. Ya. Yakovlev Memorial Museum, and a museum-and-exhibition complex on the history of fishing. They display exhibits whose ages exceed that of humanity itself, which attests to the authenticity of the museum's material collection. Visitors can not only view interesting exhibits but also immerse themselves in a museum-creative atmosphere and feel the spirit of bygone centuries.
