Cannon Yard Museum
About museum
The Cannon Yard Museum is a branch of the Kazan Kremlin State Museum-Reserve. It is located in the building that housed a cannon foundry in the 17th century. The museum's exhibition is based on a casting pit uncovered during archaeological excavations in the early 2000s. It preserves brickwork from the 17th–18th centuries, as well as a reconstruction of the process of making clay molds for cannon production and vertical molds for casting. The museum regularly hosts tours, workshops, quests, quizzes, and other cultural and educational programs for people of all ages.
