Museum 'The Estate of Two Generals'
About museum
On November 15, 2016, the 'Estate of Two Generals' museum was officially opened in the old part of the village of Pavlovskoye. This site was a noble estate associated with two generals: Andrey Yakovlevich Levanidov, a friend of M. I. Kutuzov and a participant in the storming of the Turkish fortress of Izmail, and Vasily Semyonovich Yukichev, a participant in the Patriotic War of 1812. In 2015 an obelisk was unveiled to the heroes of the capture of the Turkish fortress of Izmail — the only one in Russia. The museum features exhibitions dedicated to life in a provincial estate, noble households, the history of the village of Pavlovskoye, and the heroes of Russia from Ancient Rus' to the present day. Visitors can view and obtain a great deal of interesting information about noble life and the region's history.
