Arsenyev City History Museum
About museum
The museum was opened in 1969 and serves as a center for local history and exhibition activities in the city and surrounding area. Its collections contain more than 100,000 items. The exhibitions are dedicated to the history of settlement of the region, the history of the city, researchers V.K. Arsenyev and A.I. Kurentsov, the nature of the Ussuri taiga, and archaeological finds in the vicinity of the city. The museum building was constructed in 1941 and is a historical monument. The exhibition "Our city bears his name" presents materials about the life and work of V.K. Arsenyev. In addition, the museum has halls "The village of Semenovka before the Revolution", "The workers' settlement of Semenovka during the Great Patriotic War" and "The natural riches of Primorsky Krai". The museum regularly holds children's workshops, lectures, seminars and other events.
