The Museum of the History of the Annunciation Cathedral is a structural subdivision of the Museum-Reserve "Kazan Kremlin". It is located in the subcellar of the Annunciation Cathedral and is one of the few museums in the world situated in an active church. The museum's exhibition features objects, works of art, and documents that acquaint visitors with the most vivid chapters in the history of the Annunciation Cathedral, the oldest monument of Orthodox culture and architecture in Kazan, from the mid-16th century to the present day. The museum regularly offers guided tours, master classes, creative workshops, lectures, quests, and other cultural and educational programs suitable for all age groups. Exhibition activities are held as well, including exhibitions of contemporary Christian artists.
