19th-Century Urban Life Museum
About museum
Uglich invites its residents and visitors to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the 19th century at the Museum of Urban Life. Today this small house, built in the mid-19th century, serves as a tiny museum where you can see the work of craftspeople and antique everyday household items. The first room features market stalls, and the second recreates the home of an average Uglich resident. Here you can find 19th-century furniture, tableware, photographs and sheet music. The museum also hosts various events where visitors can be photographed in costumes styled after the 19th century. On the museum's ground floor you can try 'Uglich-style' tea and traditional baked goods. This place offers unforgettable impressions and lets you feel like a resident of the past.
