Museum 'Dacha of V. V. Barsova'

The dacha of V. V. Barsova was built by the famous Russian singer, People's Artist of the USSR and recipient of the USSR State Prize Valeria Vladimirovna Barsova in 1947. It houses a museum presenting more than 1,000 exhibits that tell the biography of the singer and her creative activity. Visitors can also become acquainted with V. V. Barsova's operatic works through gramophone recordings. The building has an auditorium for 50 seats with a stage where chamber and philharmonic music concert programs are held. V. V. Barsova lived in the dacha from 1947 to 1967, and from 1968 to 1986 a children's art school operated here. The museum was opened on January 9, 1988, and has attracted many visitors since then.
