On February 23, 1979 the Museum of Military and Labor Glory of the Omsk Technical College of Meat and Dairy Industry was solemnly opened, housing more than 1,300 exhibits. It serves as a chronicle not only of the educational institution but also of its distinguished graduates and of the combat history of the 8th Guards Red Banner Tank Corps. The museum's exhibitions cover topics such as the history of the college since 1961, notable alumni, concert programs, career guidance activities, and more. The museum actively participates in the educational and upbringing process, engaging students in exploratory, creative and scientific-research work, as well as in aesthetic, spiritual and military-patriotic education, and in career-guidance activities.
