Memorial Museum of R. Fakhreddin

\n\nOn May 25, 1995, in the village of Kichuchatovo in the Almetyevsk district of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Memorial Museum of Rizaeddin Fakhreddin (1859–1936) — a historian, educator, prominent religious figure and editor of the journal "Shura" ("Soviet") in 1908–1918, and also the Mufti of Soviet Russia in 1922–1936 — was opened. The museum houses a unique collection of the scholar's manuscripts and lifetime editions, as well as a significant part of the Fakhreddin family archive. It displays personal belongings of R. Fakhreddin, manuscript books from the mid-18th century and early printed books in Arabic script, the scholar's lifetime editions, and a tray presented by the King of Saudi Arabia during the First World Congress of Muslims in Mecca. The exhibition includes a genealogical tree — the Fakhreddin family pedigree, which contains 765 names. The museum invites visitors to learn about the life and work of the scholar and his contemporaries, and to appreciate the encyclopedic value of the lifetime editions.
