Memorial "Book of Remembrance"

On June 30, 2016, the Memorial Complex "Book of Remembrance" was opened in the city of Kazan. It is dedicated to the defenders of the Fatherland — natives and residents of the Republic of Tatarstan who died in the Great Patriotic War. The site conducts searches for information about soldiers missing in action, processes data on deceased residents of Tatarstan, and hosts educational and military-patriotic events, exhibitions and lectures. Visitors can also visit Victory Park. At the center of the memorial is the Eternal Flame, and around it is a pantheon with marble plaques bearing the names of Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of Socialist Labour and full holders of the Orders of Glory who received awards during the Great Patriotic War.
