The Meleuz Museum was founded on November 4, 1967 and for a long time operated as a municipal institution. Since 2009 it has been autonomous and has one branch — the Partizansky Historical and Local Lore Museum. The museum preserves material and written sources and photographs that together present an overview of Meleuz's 255-year history. The ethnographic collection contains more than 400 items, including traditional clothing and handwoven household textiles of Bashkirs, Russians, Chuvash, Mordvins and other peoples. The museum also exhibits nomadic daggers from the 4th century BC and a numismatic collection, mainly coins from the 18th–19th centuries. The museum additionally assembles a collection of paintings by Meleuz artists. Ticket prices: adult - 50 rubles, child - 30 rubles, preschoolers - free.
