Anikushin Workshop
About museum
Mikhail Konstantinovich Anikushin's workshop in Saint Petersburg impresses with its size: a huge hall with 9- and 15-meter ceilings and a window that occupies almost half the wall. It houses professional equipment for making monumental sculptures. The sculptor worked in this building for more than 25 years, and monuments to V. I. Lenin and A. P. Chekhov, as well as numerous portraits and memorial sculptures, were created here. A significant part of the museum's exhibition is devoted to the monument to A. S. Pushkin, created by Anikushin. The site offers tours and master classes for children and adults, as well as memorial rooms and temporary exhibitions. This is the only workshop in Saint Petersburg for working on monumental sculptures; it is a branch of the State Museum of Urban Sculpture.
