Kuyurgazinsky Historical and Local Lore Museum
About museum
On January 3, 1983, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the USSR, the Kuyurgazinsky Historical and Local Lore Museum — the Museum of Military and Labor Glory — was founded. It included 20 people: representatives of the district committee of the CPSU, the executive committee of the district council, the district education department (RONO) and the cultural department. The founder and organizer of the museum was Gismatullin Nabi Khamitovich — a veteran of the Great Patriotic War and of labor, and a native of the district. Initially the museum was housed in the building of the agricultural administration in the city of Kumertau, and in November 1993 it was moved to the village of Yermolayevo to the Palace of Culture. The current director of the museum is Anna Mikhailovna Glushchenko. The museum's collections hold almost 9,000 exhibits: from a mammoth tooth and bone to military uniforms from the Great Patriotic War and rare collections of cameras, national costumes and samovars.
