Vladimir Cultural and Exhibition Center
About museum
\r\nIn 1963 the former central pavilion of the Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy of the Vladimir Region was transferred to the museum-reserve. That same year a Picture Gallery was opened here, and in subsequent years the central pavilion hosted major exhibitions, including displays from the collections of the Tretyakov Gallery and the Russian Museum. From the 1960s through the 1990s the museum-reserve held large-scale exhibitions in the central pavilion. After the Picture Gallery moved to the 'Palaty' the central pavilion closed, but after some time the museum began operating here again. Today it is an open space for hosting various exhibitions of contemporary art, concerts, plays, creative evenings and other cultural and mass events.
