About museum

In 1902-1903 a building was constructed that was the home of merchant I. N. Beketov and is a monument of history and architecture of municipal significance. This is confirmed by the decree of the Head of Administration of Zainsk District and the town of Zainsk No. 1587 dated October 5, 1995. The museum contains 8 exhibition halls displaying mammoth remains, collections of decorative and applied arts, numismatics, household utensils, rare documents, photographs, memorial items of famous Zainsk residents, as well as paintings by Zainsk artists. This place is a remarkable historical artifact reflecting the history of the district.
