Korablinsky Local History Museum
About museum
The museum's collections are based on exhibits gathered by Alexey Matveyevich Khokhlov, a teacher and head of the Asnikovskaya Primary School. In working with his pupils he assembled a rich body of local history material that attracted visitors from other districts and towns. After Khokhlov's death in 1974, his exhibits became the basis for the creation of a district museum, which existed for 10 years on a voluntary basis. Currently the museum is a municipal budgetary institution and holds more than 6,000 items in various collections, including ethnography, mineralogy, archaeology, and others.
