The Place Performance Art Center is a pure laboratory where one can experiment with communication without conventions. The space's mission is 'to unite the spiritual and the material in a single point'. In this vein, the center will showcase works by Russian and international artists capable of conveying this idea.

\r\nThe center houses permanent exhibitions — the game-like performances Lila and Code 369. Also, alongside the main program, various performances by performance artists from around the world will be regularly held.

\r\nThe founder of The Place is the artist-researcher Olga Shcherbakova, a producer and the author of the high-profile exhibition RESET — start from zero. For more than 10 years Olga has been working on and studying performance art in contact with Marina Abramović — a recognized legend of this form of contemporary art.
