Kondrovo District Local History Museum on Truda Avenue

About museum

The building, constructed in 1950, is located in the historic center of the town. Previously it housed a consumer services complex. On November 16, 2023, the renovated building of the District Local History Museum was opened. As part of the federal program "National Projects. Culture" a major renovation was carried out.

\r\nOn the first floor are the halls "History of the Dzerzhinsky District", "Soviet Period", "The Great Patriotic War 1941–1945". On the second floor — an exhibition hall with temporary exhibitions and a stage with an auditorium for 50 people. The most interesting exhibit of the museum is a diorama dedicated to the battle for Tovarkovo on October 9–11, 1941, whose creators are a resident of Polotnyany Zavod, Sergey Rastokin, and the artist Sergey Vorobyev.
