Art Gallery in the Fish Rows
About museum
The Fish Rows is a stone building erected in the early 19th century at the request of meat and fish merchants. It is one of 18 trading arcades in the central part of the city and received its name because of its commercial purpose. In August 2010 the building was incorporated into the Kostroma Museum-Reserve. It now houses an art gallery exhibiting works by Russian and foreign artists. Lectures and master classes are also held here. The Fish Rows building remains one of the city's attractions.
