About museum
The museum offers programs for children and adults, concerts, lectures, and master classes. The Local History Museum is located in an old mansion built at the end of the 19th century. It was the home of the merchant Mironov, and later housed a branch of the State Bank. At the initiative of P. Ya. Rusyaev the museum was opened on December 20, 1991. It occupies the entire first floor of the building. The museum's sections include: local antiquities, flora and fauna, a peasant izba (traditional rural dwelling), the collectivization period, the Great Patriotic War, and an exhibition hall. Programs for children and adults, concerts, lectures, and master classes are held here. The museum is not only a place for learning but also for entertainment.
