On March 20, 2008, a Tourist Information Center was opened in Kronstadt, which was later renamed the Information and Cultural Center. Its purpose is to promote the city of military glory as a unique historical and cultural heritage, as well as a natural island site. The Center offers free information services for tourists and city residents, as well as lectures and talks. The Center's staff actively participate in specialized exhibitions and run marketing campaigns to attract tourists. Various excursions around Kronstadt are organized at the Center, and souvenirs and postcards with views of the city are sold. An information pavilion is located on the territory of the Admiralty where one can obtain the necessary information. The development plans of the Museum of the History of Kronstadt include the creation of a Shipwreck Museum.
