About museum
In 1903 a two‑storey mansion in the Art Nouveau style was built; since 1995 it has been an object of historical and cultural heritage of federal significance. It became a museum and gained fame as a unique architectural monument. Its layout, murals and stucco have been preserved almost unchanged, and the collection includes more than 5,000 works of painting, graphic art, sculpture and decorative and applied arts. The museum houses works from the State Russian Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Hermitage, as well as from the Museum of Local History of the North Ossetian ASSR. Visitors can take guided tours, attend lectures, receive individual consultations, participate in classes at the children's art studio and the adult art studio, and also visit the music salon to enjoy monthly concerts.
