On October 1, 1998, the Metamorphosis Art Gallery was opened in Nefteyugansk with the support of a grant from the Governor of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. The director and founder of the gallery is Svetlana Nikolaevna Zonina. It is adapted to host art and thematic exhibitions, art events, festivals and master classes. The gallery has a collection and constantly exhibits not only its own holdings but also serves as an exhibition venue for painters and practitioners of decorative and applied arts. The gallery also hosts thematic exhibitions from across the country, children's art festivals and the exhibition cycle 'Contemporary Artists of Yugra'. Various approaches are regularly used in the gallery to organize displays, including traditional and theatrical narrative-dramatic solutions.
