About museum
The museum was founded in 1989 and is located in a former railway station built in 1969. Its collections include traditional peasant clothing and household items of the Russian, Ukrainian, and German populations, as well as women's handicrafts and other domestic objects. Special attention is paid to the archaeological collection, as well as to collections related to the history of the Great Patriotic War, which include original documents and photographs. The exhibition hall regularly hosts temporary exhibitions. Currently on display are exhibitions such as 'Archaeological Monuments of the District', 'Clothing and Household Items of Peasant Settlers', 'Peasant Hut', 'Participation of Khabarsky residents in the Civil War, the Great Patriotic War, the Afghan and Chechen conflicts', and 'Nature of Khabarsky District'. Visiting the museum is an interesting and informative journey into the past.
