Nadezhda Brykina Gallery
About museum
In 2006 the Nadezhda Brykina Gallery opened in Zurich, focusing on Russian art from the second half of the 20th century to the present. In 2010 the gallery opened a branch in Moscow to promote its connections with Eastern European art and Russian artists. The gallery features nonconformists who did not join the ruling party, socialist realism, or the political underground, but simply continued to seek their own path in art. Nadezhda Brykina has been publishing monographs, artists' books and exhibition catalogues in several languages since 1996. In addition, the gallery produces documentary films and photo shoots that provide insight into the artistic world of the selected artists, and also hosts cultural events, including concerts and readings.
