Bogorodskoe Gallery
About museum
In 1989 the Bogorodskoe Exhibition Hall was opened; for many years it hosted exhibitions, educational events and lectures by invited, well-known museums from the capital. The exhibition projects reflected current processes in the cultural life of the city and the district, and also explored the hometowns of many well-known Moscow street-art artists. As part of the free research collective 'New Local History of the Eastern Administrative Okrug' there were bike tours, photo-cross events and meetings. The gallery also conducts educational activities, offering programs on art history and cultural studies for audiences of various ages. In 2017 the 'Participant' award was launched to support the creative and research activity of local residents and to encourage their participation in creative processes and artistic practices. It includes nominations such as 'My Collection', 'Media', 'Street Art' and 'Text'. In addition, the gallery runs art studios and an art café.
