Bogorodskoe Gallery
About museum
In 1989 the exhibition hall 'Bogorodskoe' was opened; for many years it hosted exhibitions, educational events and lectures by invited well-known city museums. The exhibition projects reflected current processes in the cultural life of the city and the district, and also explored the hometowns of many well-known Moscow street artists. As part of the free research association 'New Local History of the Eastern Administrative Okrug' there were bike tours, photocrosses and meetings. The gallery also engages in educational activities, running programs on art history and cultural studies for audiences of all ages. In 2017 the 'Participant' prize was launched to support the creative and research activity of local residents and to involve them in creative processes and artistic practices. It includes categories such as 'My Collection', 'Media', 'Street Art' and 'Text'. In addition, the gallery runs art studios and an art café.
