Museum is constantly developing and attracts an increasing number of visitors. The museum was opened to the public in 1996 at the initiative of V. A. Biktimirova, a veteran educator and Distinguished Education Worker of the RSFSR. It is located in the building of the former Muslim religious school dating from the late 19th century and is the only museum in the Tyumen Region dedicated to the history and culture of the Siberian Tatars. It houses more than three thousand exhibits that allow visitors to feel the spirit of the past and understand the present. The museum's collections include applied arts, ethnography, ritual objects, paintings and sculptures, numismatics, as well as rare and unique items of historical and spiritual value. The museum conducts tours, lectures, consultations, seminars, conferences, round tables, and meetings with interesting people. It also carries out research and exploratory work on the history of the native region. The museum is constantly developing and attracts an increasing number of visitors.
