T.S. Maltsev House Museum

The T.S. Maltsev House Museum was opened on August 3, 2000, in honor of the fiftieth anniversary of the Shadrinsk Agricultural Experimental Station at the collective farm "Zavety Lenina". It is dedicated to the life and work of the outstanding Russian agronomist, breeder and agricultural innovator Terentiy Semenovich Maltsev (1895–1994). It is located in the homestead where Maltsev lived and worked from 1962 to 1994. The main exhibition includes the interiors of the kitchen, living room, study and library, as well as T.S. Maltsev's personal belongings, books, furniture, household utensils, clothing, commemorative souvenirs, peasant household items, photographs and documents of the residents of the village of Maltsevo. The museum offers guided tours and organizes exhibitions dedicated to T.S. Maltsev, the culture of the Old Believer village, folk traditions and significant dates in Russian history.
