House-Museum of the Frontline Writer K. D. Vorobyov
About museum
In 2004 a memorial house of the writer K. D. Vorobyov was opened in the village of Nizhny Reutets. This house was established at the initiative of the Kursk regional branch of the Union of Writers of Russia, the Regional Committee for Culture of Kursk Oblast, and the Council of Deputies of the Nizhny Reutets Village Council of Medvensky District. Konstantin Dmitrievich Vorobyov was born here on 24 September 1919 and lived here until he was 16. In 2013 the K. D. Vorobyov museum was incorporated into the Kursk Regional Museum of Local Lore. The museum's exhibition presents the world of a Kursk village from the 1920s to the mid-1930s. A typical sociocultural setting of that period was also reconstructed and a memorial environment recreated as faithfully as possible. Here visitors can gain a deeper understanding of the life and work of K. D. Vorobyov.
