B. M. Kustodiev House-Museum
About museum
In 2002, the B. M. Kustodiev House-Museum — an Astrakhan native and an artist of world renown — was opened in the former house of merchant Moiseyev, a monument of urban architecture from the late 19th–early 20th century. The museum exhibits numerous works and creative achievements of B. M. Kustodiev, as well as memorial items and documents. The House-Museum also receives valuable gifts from the artist's relatives, including from his granddaughter, the well-known Russian art historian Tatyana Kirillovna Kustodieva. Thus, the museum is replenished with new exhibits, including works by the master himself and by his son Kirill, a noted theatrical artist, as well as photographs from the family's personal archive. The B. M. Kustodiev House-Museum is a unique place presenting the life and work of the famous artist.
