Municipal Budgetary Institution (MBU) Belomorsk District Local History Museum 'Belomorsk Petroglyphs' includes the Pomor Cultural Center, which was established in 1996 as a structural unit of the Belomorsk Children's Music School and received municipal institution status in 2009. The Center conducts research on the historical and cultural heritage of the Belomorsk district, presents exhibitions about the Pomor region, regularly holds the local history conferences 'Balagurov Readings', and also develops specialized local history resources. Two public associations operate at the Center: 'Pomor Shore' (since 2012) and 'Pomorye Handicrafts' (since 2017); the latter carries out its activities within the 'Pomorye Handicrafts' workshop, which has been operating in the Center since 2017.
