Boguchansky Local History Museum named after D.M. Andon
About museum
In 1988 a building for the museum was constructed, and exhibitions were formed in three halls. U. G. Cherepanova was appointed director. In 1992 the museum became a branch of the Kansk Local History Museum and a state institution. In October 1993 the Boguchansky Local History Museum was founded, and in 1998 it received the name of D. M. Andon, who made a great contribution to the organization of the institution. On August 17, 2005 the museum was burned down, but by August 25, 2007 it had been restored. In 2009 the museum opened its doors with a new exhibition "House on the River." It was built along the semantic axis of the through-wall "River" of the different halls with various forms and materials: "Cave", "Mother Pine", "Izba", "Dismantled Church", "Soviet Era", "Dam". The museum collection consists of 4,400 items, and the collections "Applied Arts, Everyday Life and Ethnography", "Documents" and "Archaeology" cover the history of Krasnoyarsk Krai and the Boguchansky District.
