A.A. Kiselev House-Museum
About museum
In 1988, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Alexander Kiselev's birth, a house-museum was opened, which in 1997 became an independent municipal cultural institution. In Tuapse, the cliff above the sea bears the artist's name. In 1902 he built a house in the town where he spent every summer and painted landscapes. Alexander Kiselev depicted the beauty of these places in his works. The museum displays items from the artist's family's memorial collection, about 150 units, and objects of the Russian nobility up to 1917. The collection also includes 14 authentic paintings by A.A. Kiselev, household items, furniture, documents and photographs from the family's personal archive. In total, the permanent exhibition contains 642 items. The A.A. Kiselev Museum has become a source of interesting knowledge about the life and work of the great artist.
