Blagoveshchensky District Local History Museum
About museum
The Blagoveshchensky museum, specializing in local history, invites visitors to explore the history of the district and the urban-type settlement of Blagoveshchenka from the early 20th century to the present day. The exhibitions tell of the lives and everyday routines of the first settlers, as well as military events, the district's city-forming enterprises, and its social spheres. The museum displays household utensils, hand-woven small rugs, towels, icons, photographs of participants in the Great Patriotic War (World War II), weapons, medals, front-line letters, coins, explanatory texts and labels. The museum halls are decorated with wooden walls and shelves, and the chronological arrangement of the exhibitions makes it easy to navigate the district's history.
