Balakovo Art Gallery
About museum
Balakovo Art Gallery is housed in a former bank building that is part of a complex of three public buildings built in 1912 in the style of 'rational' modernism. This early 20th-century architectural monument has regional significance. The gallery opened to visitors in 1977. It features a permanent exhibition of Russian art of the 19th–20th centuries from the collections of the Saratov State Art Museum named after A. N. Radishchev. Temporary exhibitions of works from the museum's collections are also held here. Various events take place in the courtyard. All this makes the gallery attractive to local residents and city visitors.
