Angarsk City Exhibition Hall
About museum
The Exhibition Hall, as a branch of the Angarsk City Museum, was opened in 1995 and presents up to 12 different exhibitions (art, decorative and applied arts, children's art) annually in its halls. Occasionally, during short pauses between exhibitions, individual items from the museum's art collection taken out of storage are displayed. The formation of the collection is considered to have begun in 1969, when the Moscow branch of the State Museum Fund transferred more than 500 works of painting, graphics, and sculpture by Soviet artists of the 1950s-1960s to the Angarsk Museum free of charge.
Today the Exhibition Hall is the only exhibition space in the city intended for periodic exhibitions.
