As part of the "Heritage" literary and local history club, an evening of remembrance was held at the school in the village of Radishchevo to mark the 240th anniversary of D. V. Davydov's birth and the 185th anniversary commemorating the partisan hero.
At the latest meeting, club members recalled Denis Vasilyevich Davydov, who was not only a talented writer but also a hero of the Patriotic War of 1812. The soldier-poet took part in eight wars and carried out numerous successful operations to save the Fatherland.
The students learned about the hero's outstanding feats and his merits to the Motherland. In a playful format, schoolchildren learned about Davydov's military ranks and how he earned them. By solving charades, the children reinforced their knowledge related to the life of this distinctive author of military memoirs.
In conclusion, the club members concluded that Davydov remains in the history of Russian literature not only as the author of fascinating military-historical essays, memoirs and theoretical works on partisan warfare, but also as a brave warrior to be proud of.
Events are held by prior registration.
