The Volgograd Planetarium opened in 1954; over 70 years the planetarium has been visited by hundreds of thousands of people and thousands of lectures on space topics have been held. Currently the planetarium has diversified its program — now under the stars it hosts concerts, poetry evenings and shows.
Full-dome concert 'Fairy Tales and Lullabies'

A true musical full-dome journey into the world of ancient melodies, magical stories and dreams in the genres of folk, ethno and psychedelic. Members of the band 'Wings of Sleep' will perform original arrangements of Russian folk lullabies. Each piece will be accompanied by vivid projections of starry landscapes.
This concert is a holistic meditative experience where sound and the cosmos merge into a single magical act.

Science show 'Ice Age'

During the educational science program you will see how dry ice performs wonders! There will be lots of smoke, fog and flask volcanoes. Participants will be able to make scientific soda in various flavors, blow smoky soap bubbles and see the eruption of a real soap volcano.

Full-dome program 'The Immortal Feat of Stalingrad'

'The Immortal Feat of Stalingrad' is the first military immersive program with a 360-degree view, which can only be seen on the dome of the Volgograd Planetarium. Thanks to the latest technologies combined with wartime newsreel footage, the viewer can, on the one hand, understand the details of the events, and on the other, fully feel the scale and drama of the great war.

Educational full-dome program 'Buran & Guiding Stars'

'Buran' is a Soviet spacecraft. The first and only flight of Buran took place on November 15, 1988. Thanks to the planetarium's full-dome projection system, you can feel the scale of the spacecraft, which seems to 'hover' above the audience.

Full-dome program 'In the Depths of Space & The Space History of Russia'

As part of the program, viewers will learn how the first satellite and space rockets were designed, and how preparation for the first human spaceflight took place. Viewers will learn the history of the development of space technologies.

Educational lecture 'Forward, to Mars'

The lecture is prepared especially for children aged 6 and up.
Funny Mouse and Little Frog attend lessons with a familiar gnome-stargazer and observe through a telescope in his observatory. The gnome told them about Mars, and they decided to fly to that planet. The friends built a spacecraft and a rover. Half a year in flight — and they arrived on Mars.
On the Red Planet they need to find evidence that there used to be a lot of water here. Mouse, Frog and the scientist gnome travel by rover. How many interesting things they saw — dried riverbeds, huge volcanoes, mysterious caves, bizarre dunes. Of course, there were incidents.

Poetic symphonic concert under the starry sky 'Woman — a Special Sea'
