Exhibition venue of the Altai State Museum of Local History
About museum
The tool shop building was constructed in the early 19th century at the request of the head of the Kolyvan-Voskresensk factories, P. K. Frolov, to store tools, materials and the factory treasury. The project was designed by architect A. I. Molchanov, and the house was rebuilt by architect Ya. N. Popov. It is an example of Classicism and is notable for its large arched windows with white trim. It now houses the Altai State Museum of Local History, which presents items of national significance, a mineralogical collection, books and cartographic materials. The museum hosts temporary exhibitions, including ones dedicated to the country's military history.
