Vorontsov Palace Museum
About museum
Vorontsov Palace in Alupka is a palatial complex of five buildings, constructed in 1828–1848 to a design by the English architect Edward Blore for the Governor‑General of the Novorossiysk region, Count M. S. Vorontsov. The palace halls have almost entirely preserved their original finishes in the style of a traditional English interior. The halls exhibit paintings and sculptures by Russian and Western European masters, as well as permanent exhibitions. Florentine fountains and vases are installed on the palace's southern terraces. An old park surrounds the palace, home to more than 200 species of exotic trees and plants, as well as artificial ponds and numerous cascades. This monument of architecture and history attracts many visitors.
