Usolye-Sibirskoye Historical and Local Lore Museum is a place where you can learn about the history of the Usolye area from ancient times to the contemporary life of Usolye-Sibirskoye. Founded on October 29, 1969 in honor of the city's 300th anniversary, the museum has become a landmark of Usolye-Sibirskoye. Its collections comprise more than 18,000 items of primary and scientific-supporting character. The museum has several historical exhibitions and exhibition halls for displaying painting, graphic art and decorative and applied arts. In 2022 the museum opened a creative workshop 'Gornitsa', where various master classes in traditional folk crafts are held. And in 2024 the museum unveiled a new museum space — the art-cafe 'Yuri Seliverstov', where you can not only learn about the life and work of the brilliant artist Yuri Ivanovich Seliverstov, who was born in Usolye-Sibirskoye, but also take part yourself in the creative process over a cup of coffee.
